PIANO

The piano was the first hobby I ever picked up at the age of 2, and by the time I was 5 years old I had written my first song. Despite taking piano lessons a few times in my life, they never stayed because I would often outsmart my teachers. They all knew I could play by ear and would often copy what they played instead of reading music. I played a few open mics when I was younger, dabbled a little in guitar, and even played in a band for kids when I was a teenager- playing local gigs. These days I simply enjoy making my own music or covering my favorite songs, and I am popular for being the kind of musician who covers the most heaviest rock and roll songs on the dainty piano. I love to prove that any instrument can rock and roll, and you don't have to be a guy, either. My biggest influences include Saliva, Collective Soul, Green Day and Elton John; and my bucket list dream come true would be to perform on stage with at least one of them.

By far, Elton John has been THE reason why I can play the piano the way that I can. Through he and Bernie, I've learned how to construct my own original songs using genius chords, progressions, and various styles of music from their music alone. I discovered Elton when I was a teenager, and his influence on me was key in honing all of my musical abilities. For years, I would come home from school and learn how to play like Elton John for hours, hardly stopping for a break. In addition to playing the piano, Elton introduced me to SO many different styles and eras of music, from as early as the 1940s to the 2000s. Because of him, I became a true believer of my own abilities and talents, playing piano for school assemblies, open mics, airports, and live videos online for my friends and fans. Everybody knew me as the "piano girl", and thanks to Elton John I will always be that "piano girl".
